COMMERCIAL FINANCE

The last decade has seen an unprecedented increase in professional liability claims, including those brought by businesses and individuals against accounting firms. Traditionally, those disputes have been addressed through litigation that, in more than 95% of the cases, results in a settlement.

With the use of AAA arbitration and mediation, many of the lengthy and costly procedures associated with litigation are avoided. As a result, business relationships are preserved.

EFFECTIVE JUNE 1, 2010: The AAA will retain a portion of the administrative filing fee if a party files a demand for arbitration that is incomplete or otherwise does not meet the filing requirements contained in the Rules, and if the deficiency cannot be corrected in a reasonable period of time. Please review the fee schedule in the current rules for additional details.
