NORTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF INSURANCE DISASTER MEDIATION PROGRAM The American Arbitration Association has, over the years, successfully worked with different states to administer various insurance claims programs on their behalf. The North Carolina Department of Insurance has selected the American Arbitration Association to administer the Department's Disaster Mediation Program. This Program provides a non-adversarial Mediation process to facilitate the effective, fair, and timely resolution of disputed residential property insurance claims arising out of damages caused by declared disasters.
