NORTH CAROLINA DEPARTMENT OF INSURANCE MEDIATION PROGRAM The American Arbitration Association has, over the years, successfully worked with different states to administer various insurance claims programs on their behalf. Recently, the AAA was selected by the North Carolina Department of Insurance, on an interium basis, to provide a new mediation program to resolve disputed residential property damage insurance claims resulting from declared disasters. The program provides a means for insurance companies and homeowners with disputed hurricane damage claims to efficiently and effectively resolve these disputes through mediation.
