Los Angeles Civil Court Mediations

Why AAA?

Why Use AAA Mediation Administration?

AAA administration helps parties navigate the mediation process by providing support for mediator appointments, case coordination, and procedural administration. The AAA works with parties to help facilitate an efficient process from submission through mediation.

Mediation fees

What Does Mediation Cost?

Each party pays a $350 non-refundable filing fee, due when the mediation is filed, plus the mediator’s compensation. These cases are administered under the AAA’s Commercial Mediation Fee Schedule. The mediator’s rates are listed on their AAA resume and include the AAA administrative fee. Additional expenses may apply.

The filing fee does not apply when the parties have an active AAA arbitration that meets all filing requirements. If the mediation is withdrawn, canceled, or settled after filing, the filing fee will be retained, and the parties will be billed for any mediator time and expenses incurred. See the Commercial Mediation Procedures and Costs below for additional details.
