The American Arbitration Association® (AAA®) welcomed 4 new professionals to its Consumer Panel between January and July 2026, expanding the experience and subject-matter knowledge available to parties navigating consumer disputes.
The Experience Behind the AAA Consumer Panel
The AAA Consumer Panel brings together neutrals with experience in consumer law and industries that generate a wide range of everyday disputes. Panelists have knowledge in areas such as retail and e-commerce, product warranties, financial services, telecommunications, travel and hospitality, and other consumer-related matters. Their experience helps them understand the distinct legal and practical considerations for disputes involving consumers.
Why Industry Knowledge Matters in Dispute Resolution
The AAA’s addition of these professionals reflects its ongoing commitment to maintaining a Consumer Panel with broad subject-matter and industry knowledge. Consumer disputes can vary significantly in complexity and the issues involved, making access to neutrals with relevant backgrounds and experience an important part of the dispute resolution process.
How AAA Panelists Are Selected
AAA panelists are selected through a rigorous review process that considers professional accomplishments, subject-matter expertise, and dispute resolution experience, among other qualifications. The AAA routinely evaluates and strengthens its panelist selection to make sure that parties have access to neutral decision-makers with experience appropriate to the matters before them. AAA panelists are independent neutrals and not employees of the AAA.
