The American Arbitration Association® (AAA®) welcomed 9 new professionals to its Labor Panel between January and July 2026, expanding its roster of experienced neutrals with extensive experience interpreting collective bargaining agreements, resolving grievances, and navigating complex labor relations issues. Adding these panelists gives parties greater access to neutrals who understand the legal and practical issues that labor and management face.
What AAA Labor Panelists Bring to Disputes
The AAA Labor Panel includes experienced attorneys, practitioners, former judges, and industry professionals, many with extensive experience in resolving disputes under collective bargaining agreements. Panelists bring experience resolving various disputes across industries, including public and private sectors, helping navigate even the most complex labor challenges.
Why Industry Knowledge Matters in Dispute Resolution
AAA’s addition of these professionals reflects its ongoing commitment to maintaining a Labor panel with broad subject-matter and industry knowledge. The AAA recognizes the unique challenges of labor disputes and understands that labor disputes can vary significantly in complexity and underlying issues. As part of its labor case administration, the AAA works to provide parties with access to qualified neutrals whose backgrounds and experience are relevant to the matters it administers.
How AAA Panelists Are Selected
AAA panelists are selected through a rigorous review process that considers professional accomplishments, subject-matter expertise, and dispute resolution experience, among other qualifications. The AAA routinely evaluates and strengthens its panelist selection to make sure that parties have access to neutral decision-makers with experience appropriate to the matters before them. AAA panelists are independent neutrals and not employees of the AAA.
