Intro

What Are APIs?

An API acts as a bridge, enabling different software systems or platforms to communicate and share information. APIs help automate manual processes, improve integration across legal technologies, and provide seamless access to key services.

Free API Services: The AAA provides APIs at no additional cost.

Technical Assistance: We’ve partnered with LexPipe, a third-party API installation service, to support firms with limited development resources.

Regular Improvements: APIs are routinely enhanced for improved functionality and performance.

Why APIs?

Automate case filings, document submissions, and complete other administrative tasks.

Reduce manual data entry and simplify access to case information.

Connect your systems to receive real-time updates on arbitration cases filed with the AAA.

Handle high volumes of cases efficiently with secure data transmission.

  • Allow for the secure submission of documents and case filings directly to the AAA’s case management system.
  • Facilitate seamless integration between your system and the AAA’s case management system.
  • Provide efficient retrieval of case document data from the AAA system to your internal platform.
  • Ideal for managing complex cases or large caseloads.
  • Enable new arbitration cases to be filed with the AAA seamlessly through the API.
  • Allow for the easy submission of all required details and relevant documents.
  • Provide real-time updates on arbitrator appointments to your cases, including names, statuses, and relevant details.

Security

How We Prioritize Data Security

  • Encryption for secure data transmission.
  • Access controls to protect sensitive information.
  • Authentication mechanisms that allow only authorized users to access the APIs.
  • No usage or rate limits, allowing clients to operate without restrictions.

APIs support arbitration and mediation case submissions to and correspondence from the AAA and panelists.

APIs provide real-time updates on case activities, including arbitrator appointments, and scheduling or other orders.

The AAA’s partnership with LexPipe provides the support needed to build and test APIs.
