Most of the mediations settle, underscoring the program’s effectiveness and value.  

Readiness

The AAA collaborates with the North Carolina Department of Insurance to maintain the program’s readiness, enabling it to address the needs of residents during times of crisis.

Standards

Mediator Standards

Mediators in the North Carolina Disaster Mediation Program are required to meet stringent standards set forth by North Carolina General Statutes §58-44-70 through §58-44-120. They must also be certified by the Dispute Resolution Commission under G.S. 7A-38.2, upholding professionalism and adherence to the highest ethical standards.
